April Lockhart
April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She began the guitar and piano lessons in the 7th grade, which ignited the interest of her. April Lockhart composed her first track"Different" at 12 years old. At the age of 14 April, she spent a lot of time writing songs and honed her music skills. The following months, she began taking notes along with her father to LA as well as NY. April added other themes to the track "Take My Hand" for a few of her the friends she had who struggled with problems like peer pressure, disabilities, and even teens who committed suicide. Lockhart has her own fan base and also works as a lifestyle blogger with the popular Ilia Clean Beauty brand. The disability she has is part of her identity, but it's not all of the picture. Lockhart's Instagram page doesn't overlook the fact that she has a disability. It also doesn't make it a point to emphasize it. It's a reminder. This is the message that we all share many identities, we're far more complicated than we believe we're. Lockhart tells Lockhart via video "I do not believe that disability is what defines me. My goal is not to have an impact on disabilities because I've got many more things to contribute." It doesn't impact my daily routine. I do the things I normally would and have adapted to my disabilities. However, I also consider it to be a vital aspect of me. Self-acceptance can be a marathon for a lifetime however Lockhart truly inspires me on that front. However, she admits to going through periods that made her feel uncomfortable about her appearance, and the clothes with arms. Now, though she dons what she's comfortable in and post pictures of herself in these outfits on social media with pride. The journey itself is the key thing I don't know that will ever be the end of self-love. However, I believe that's the case with everyone with whatever their insecurity is. People you associate yourself with, who know you and see through your eyes are the best people to remind you of what you're worried about.
